Well, almost no jokes... what do you expect when you make a dog food in a place called Prattville?

(For non English readers, and thankfully there are many outside the fair isles of Great Britain, Gawd bless her, and The Queen; anyway for you other chums, in Brit. English "prat" means bum/bottom/behind/ass but-not-donkey, so a place called Prattville is v. fuuny to a young Dawg. And to me.)

So in the recall was Jo Bo a No No, or just So So, shall we ask Flo Jo, is this a Po Mo joke, and now I'll go go..before I sink to lo lo,, argghhh no no no!

Dawg's human, Hugedawg, has discovered a new toy, a mobile phone in a collar for dogs. It has a speaker so I can hear the calls, and so can anyone else near me..

Imagine: I'm wearing the collar and wander over to some nice policeman and sit quitely by his feet. Hugedawg phones me and says, "Officer, can you tell me the time please?"
Cop looks around. "Officer have you got time for a quicky?" Cop looks around, fingering truncheon.

For the poor lost souls out there who don't have access to Dawg's new Totally Sincere Product (tm), Gawd Dawg (tm), the treat that saves as it satisfies, there is another, sadly second rate, alternative available.

Yes! A little container containing a bootiful prayer type message to attach to your dog's collar. The message reads:

"O GOD, please help me be a good and loyal pet, even when I have to go to the vet. Never let me out of my owners sight, making sure I don't get lost, safely home each night. Show me how to be a buddy even when my paws are muddy. Don't allow me to munch postal carriers for lunch. Please keep me nice and healthy always having a full belly. Shield my neighbor's cat from view, guide my footsteps around the doo doo. Train me not to howl and bark even at other dogs in the park. Give me patience without end, help me be "Man's best friend".

An uplifting story, well Dawg thought it was funny anyway.
A nice woman was out walking her dog, and as a goodun' had her plastic bags with her to pick up the dog's doo. Which she does. And carries on walking, when scuzzy lowlife runs past and grabs her bag. Of dog poo.
Even better tho'. The mugger got caught and was sent down, (he had a whole string of previous offences).
You really can't get much lower than a lowlife who mugs someone, ends up with a bag of poo, gets caught, and gets sent to prison. For stealing doggie doo.

Well I'm out and about being Dawgy and I see this chap, (luckily I had my dogital camera with me, huh?), and he is obviously making a statement about discrimination. Which is cool. But he also told me that on his days off, (no harness, see), he likes to rid the world of a vampire or two. Hence the wooden stake. Which is cool.

Here is the must have for this Christmas: a GPS navigation system to track your dog! (Some mistake surely, aren't Dogs meant to track you?)
On a special collar you fit a SIM card into the gizmo, and when your dog gets lost from your line of vision you call the gizmo/collar from your mobile and on the mobile screen up comes a map and an indication of where the dog is.
The collar: on the right, and the price: (about $1000)
or if you get the wobblies when you lose sight of your dawg you could; A)take more of those nice tablets, B)get your dawg to train you in anxiety control, or C) never let your dawg off the lead and give all your money to helping with lost puppies, (see post below)

Dawg had someone in the shop today who is developing canine shampoos from her experience with horse shampoos. The first is an anti scratch without horrible chemicals, and reports sound interesting. Dawg will keep you posted.

Houma, La. - A mail carrier wasn't worried when he heard barking. The man had already made sure the pooch in the yard he was about to deliver to was chained up.
It wasn't the barking dog that got him, it was a barking man, police said.
Mark D. Plumb, 20, of Butler, Mo., was arrested and charged with simple battery Wednesday after he ran barking from a house and bit the letter carrier on the shoulder, Houma Police spokesman Lt. Todd Duplantis said.
Plumb said he bit the carrier as a joke and has no history of criminal activity or mental illness, police said.
"I've never heard of something like this," Terrebonne Parish Postmaster Bill Frye said. "I was shocked when I heard about it."....."We don't expect that a human being is going to run up and bite one of our carriers," said Frye.The Terrebonne Parish Postmaster hits the nail on the head. The postmaster said that there was nothing funny about Plumb's joke.
"It's serious," he said. "This carrier's out there doing his best to get people their mail."

Dog Treat Dispensers

New York, New York, so good they named it twice. Well good for dogs as they now have dog treat dispensers on street corners, so if pooch is getting peckish you put in a coin and out comes a treat. The whole version is there if you click the title above.

If pooch is on his own where does he keep the spare change..
